Enzo McFly cares about 3 things: money, music, and family. The rising rapper hails from Houston and represents his hometown down to the bone, no matter what city he’s in. At 20 years old, the “Vibes” rapper has been recording since the young age of 16, pegged the “Voice of the Youth” for the real-life topics he touched on in his raps.
Most recently, he unleashed his project aptly titled Next To Blow, with standout features from Rich Homie Quan, Q Money, and more.
AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?
Enzo McFly: I describe my sound as definitely vibrant. I try to talk about where I want to go, what I want to do. I try to keep it realistic as well with where I’m at.
AllHipHop: You’re from Houston, how does that play into your life and career?
Enzo McFly: Being from Houston plays in every part of my career and my life. I’m influenced by everybody who I’m around. When I get up and start my day, every aspect of my personal life is in Houston. Even when I’m not in Houston, my heart in Houston. Houston got everything to do with everything.
AllHipHop: Did you grow up to the Screw movement?
Enzo McFly: That was before my time when DJ Screw came up, but I did grow up loving Flip, Screw, Fat Pat, etc. I love everything that came out of the Screw movement.
AllHipHop: What is it like seeing Megan killing it out of Houston?
Enzo McFly: It’s beautiful. I love what she’s doing. Salute to T Farris, I love what she’s doing.
AllHipHop: You just unleashed the visual for “WHAT’S UP WITH THAT.” What was your vision here?
Enzo McFly: Thank you for asking me about that. [smiles] “WHAT’S UP WITH THAT” is a song me and Fred did, we’re trying to go crazy. Fred On Em is the producer behind “Flicka Da Wrist” by Chedda Da Connect, behind “2 Legited 2 Quited” by Sauce Walka, behind Don Toliver’s “Back End.” He behind a lot of them hits. That’s just the beginning of some s##t we’re gonna unleash.
AllHipHop: How’d you link with him?
Enzo McFly: Houston, we’re trying to put on for Texas. That’s where it comes from.
AllHipHop: What is your take on the music industry?
Enzo McFly: It’s a lot of gimmicks going on. It’s a lot of temporary things going on. People are doing s##t for attention, I think it’s finna get back to real rap.

Enzo McFly: Ye. s##t Kanye West, he was the first person who I was all into. He kind of made me fall in love with this s##t. Kanye and Kid Cudi.
